Overall this school district is lacking, the new building is nice but the same problems exist. Lack of discipline, lack of Principal supervision , poor office management, poor school-parent-student relations and the list goes on. Unfortunately we cannot afford to send our children anywhere else. The only light in this school are the teachers themselves, every teacher we've encountered over the years is well educated and has a lot of personal, life, and education experience to offer the kids they teach. Any lacking is not the fault of the teachers! It's the system that they are required to teach to.

The academic programs are average. However, special ed programs are below average. Art and music are part of the curriculum. However, there is lack of additional, outside activities. The level of parent involvment is minimal to say the least.

Paul C. Bunn was the first school in the Youngstown City Schools to rank Effective on the Ohio state report card. It has a wonderful caring principal and staff dedicated to the education of students. Overall the Youngstown City Schools are improving and with new buildings, including Paul C. Bunn, on the way-our outlook toward the future looks great!
