Lynn Kirk is like a family. The principal, Mr. Russo, teaches the children discipline while also being very personable with them.
My child loves this school. It is a safe and great learning environment for my child
I think that the school is doing a good job of following the Plan. I do however feel that there is a lot expected of the children. It seems that they are being drilled instead of taught. I realize that they have to get so much material in per year but this is too much. I don't feel the children are grasping the concept! They are learning to prepare for state testing and what the answer is instead of WHY this is the answer.
We were new to Austintown schools last year. I was very apprensive about changing schools because my children were very happy where they were. What a pleasant surprise Lynn Kirk has been! It has exceeded my expectations, my kids have loved it and made many friends. The principal, teachers and staff are all great. There are many opportunities to be involved through PTA, and the PTA here really makes you feel welcome. I would definitely recommend this school.
Lynkirk school has been a great experience for my son. I have really enjoyed all of his teachers. I am sad this will be his last year at this school. He is in the 3rd grade and this is the first year that the school will end at the third grade. All the teachers that he has had have been very involved and supportive in all he does. The P.T.A. is wonderful and they plan a lot of great things for the children to do. I just wish that there was more parent involvement to help the P.T.A out it seems to always be the same people helping. The academic programs have been great. It was wonderful when my son was in the 2nd grade and the high school Spanish students came down and taught them some Spanish what a great idea I wish that continued in 3rd as well.
What a great school experience my son had at Lynn Kirk! The highest quality, caring teachers along with a great support staff made this a school I would recommend to all parents and children!
Wow I am very impressed with this school. We move alot and so I have experienced several different schools. This is the first school that the principal and teachers have been very responsive and helpful with any concern I might have reguarding my children. I love that my kids are learning art and music. The children I have met through the school are healthy and active. All in all this community and this school have been a wonderul experience. The school has high academic standards and my children have been both challenged and supported. Wonderful school!
Lynn Kirk Elementary is a really great school my son is finishing the 1st grade there & his teacher was exceptionally outstanding she spotted a child who needed extra one on one time for special learning classes, his teacher was always willing to go the extra mile if a student needed extra learning time. My son was excited about going to Mrs. Callery's class because she was fun and exciting in the way she taught to the children. They have a very good principal and a great secretary who is very pleasant. The moment you walk into the school and you get a good feeling from the friendly staff there. They have a great PTA staff that does wonderful things with the whole school all year long and the parents are all easy to get along with. It's a great school to attend. I hope the middle school is this great.
