I have read the reviews posted about this school. Msst of them point out that the school needs revamping! I also noticed that there are no recent reviews either. We just moved to Choctaw in August 2012. Choctaw Middle School has a new facility that JUST opened in August 2011. We have loved the school so far! They are attentive to he kids and the parents and keep in great contact!

This school needs better trained teachers and staff. Administration lacks support for the students. Looking for alternative now to this school due to the fact that it is not meeting my child's needs. Very, very disappointed.

My daughter went through CJH & my son is currently attending 'Choctaw Middle School'. My feeling about this school is disappointment. I was unhappy with the administration & some of the faculty when my daughter was there but I was optimistic when the district switched from Jr High to Middle School configuration. I was hoping that administration would understand & make adjustments for 6th graders, but it did not happen. This principal did nothing different other than have 'Camp Charlie' before school started, which was worthless because they only played games & the student 'leaders' didn't show the kids anything important - like the cafeteria. The counselor & several teachers were there, but I never saw the principal or vice principal. I'm very unhappy with the leadership at this school. It's like they just don't get it - it's middle school now, figure it out!

I have three children. One who has gone through this school, one who is in attendance at this school and one about to be at this school. I have had nothing but disappointment so far in the Principal and Vice Principal and a few of the teachers. If I had the money the kids would be in a private school. If I had influence, I would put them in another local school. We are stuck in a bad school. What do we do?

I have two kids in your school, and I want to thank you for making the school a good place for them.

Im disappointed in this school. My daughter is a new student here coming from Elementary School. We attended 'Camp Charlie' thinking that the kids would get some guidance and sort of let them know where their classes were going to be and where to eat lunch, etc. Instead the kids played games and the parents were lectured on general 'home training' that any good parent practices anyway. My daughter came home quite distraught due to it was 'chaos'. In her own words. I am now looking for a private school that is affordable and near my home. I just don't want my daughters middle school years to be a waste.

I have loved the Choctaw Schools so far there really exciting and fun! Also the teachers are great and I hope it's like this for my kids because I want them to go to this district.

I think it says alot that teachers in the area refuse to send their own children to this Jr. High. This school is based on last name and athletics ability. The teachers and vice principal have a 'high school buddies' mentality.

This school is in desperate need of revamping. It's leaders need to take control and be accountable for their school, including staff, teachers, and students. Academics should be a priority, as should the students' personal needs, as this is the most vulnerable age group. Until the administrators realign their priorities and stop operating on the 'good ole boy' system, this school is headed no where except into a downward spiral. This particular institution is the black smudge on the reputation of the entire CNP district. Leaders, please wake up and make the necessary changes!!!

Im a student at Choctaw Jr. High. I moved here a few years ago from a different state and since I moved I feel as though I am being held back in my academic acheivments. I feel that sports are very much favored over academics. Most teachers are out of touch with the students and don't seem to care how anyone does academicly unless you fit into a certain criteria based on sports and money. It is full of cliques and unless you are apart of them, you are left out. Also, the school is very run down and it makes a person wonder where the tax payers dollars are going.
