We have two daughters that are high school students at Sequoyah. Our girls have been in the district since kindergarten. We encountered some challenges when we found that our daughters were needing vigorous academic courses as they were not sports inclined, but academically inclined. Mr. Hood, the high school counselor met with us on several occassions to talk about our options to supplement their academic experience. He has always been supportive and advises us well on helping our daughters achieve their goals. The teachers and staff have been wonderful and we thank all of them for their diligence and dedication.

About the tests

In 2008-2009 Oklahoma used the Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests End-of-Instruction (OCCT EOI) exams to test students in high school in several subjects. The results for reading and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The OCCT EOI is a high school graduation requirement. The OCCT EOI exams are standards-based tests, which means they measure specific skills defined for each subject by the state of Oklahoma. The goal is for all students to score at or above the satisfactory level on the test.
