Very small school. I would say half the teachers are great and half are not so great. Principal is great. Streets near school are really worn down, lots of potholes, nowhere to park. Neighborhood kind of worn down around school. There is very little parental involvement due to most parents having to work.

  • We have great participation from parents and community. wednesday is work day at our school...four to ten parents help with clerical work for teachers and read to students. at 1:00 pm we have community readers who come to our classes to read each week. our parents have a student store (the hop shop) that sells nutritional snacks, seasonal pencils and other memorabilia. our title i advisory team has several community and parent members. our parent/teacher conferences are well attended.
