This school has to be the worst school I have ever experienced. For one, it is on a military installation, but is not a DOD school. There are no teachers aids in classroom that have 25-30 children. There are 2 teachers that are the most rudest, uncaring individuals I have ever met. And the principal is even worse, when concerns are brought up to the principal, she responds that she does not know anything about that and will not try a remedy. I was singled out in front of others and was humiliated by being yelled at and told that my daughter is unruly and disrespectful which is a direct reflection of the parent. I know my daughter is not be perfect, but disrespectful she is not. The teacher even informed me that she got in my daughters face (demonstrated her actions), unacceptable. The only options by this school is either adapt or be held back. My daughter excelled at Fort Bragg, DOD schools and after attending a class at Sheridan her confidence was eliminated. She would come home crying and dreading to go to school. Also, every other week the school is asking for money for the children to attend school sponsored assemblies, if no payment, the children cannot attend.

My daughter, Shelby, has been a student at Sheridan Road for 2.5 years. The entire staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful whenever you need them. The teachers are absoluting amazing no matter what grade level you're child is in! I would highly recommend Sheridan Road Elementary to any parent that is new to Fort Sill. Your child will have a wonderful learning experience at this school!

We are a Military family that has been stationed at Fort Sill since June of 2010. I have 3 children that attended this school and can not say anything negative about the school, staff, or principal. Over the course of time that we have been here, we have had 3 principals that have great qualities in reaching everyone involved at the school (Staff, Children, Parents) This school takes great care of the many Military Children that attend. As a Military Family our lives can be unstable and any amount of stability we can offer our kids is important. This school encourages parent/family involvement. They have an amazing PTA that always host wonderful family events, such as: Family Night Book Fairs, Family Bingo Night, Beach Day, Special Assemblies, ETC. This school makes me enjoy living here in Oklahoma. There are many Wonderful, Loving, Caring Teachers at this school. I have been truly blessed to have these teachers in my childrens' life. I Love this school !!

This is a wonderful school that takes great care of our millitary children. The teachers are awesome and work together for the success of our children. The principal encourages parent involvement and has an open door policy. I love this school.

Teachers at Sheridan Road care about their students. Administration pays attention to detail and gets to know each student by name, pretty good for 500+ students. Overall very caring and professional from Principal through janitors. Love this school!!

We experienced every grade at Sheridan in the three years my children attended school there. We loved the teachers. They work very hard to overcome the overcrowded classrooms, lack of resources, and small facilities. There is no art program; and music, computers and PE are interchanged weekly. Sports (other than clogging) are done through other agencies in town or on post.

Oklahoma is a poor state, be careful when you are utilizing their special needs program; sometimes a proper child evaluation is based on the dollars that the school can get from federal funding and not proper evaluation. Just stay on top, never letting your guard down and never accepting what they say as the truth; always double check.

I feel that Sheridan Road has some excellent teachers, Mrs. Brown 1st grade the best your child could ask for. She does the coolest things with the children and is just AWESOME, Mrs. Turner 4th very mild and great to work with highly recomend, Mrs. Johnson PreK is wonderful, she is a terrific start to your childrens schooling, you will want to keep her forever. They are ALWAYS looking out for the best interest of my children. Parent involment is lacking, and the school is VERY clicky, and I never feel comfortable around the principal. BUT for the most part one one with the teachers is awesome. Mr.Melby 6th grade is a terrific asset to the school. He is an amazing teacher and is one of those teachers your children will never forget. A+ to Sheridan Road for that.

I think Sheridan Road has an awesome teaching system and believe they are very dedicated to their students. Mrs. Johnson took great care of my son through out the school year, (his first time ever in school.) I don't think he would of done any better than he did if he wasn't in her class. She took the time with him to help him adjust and he was one of the top students in her class. Thank you Mrs. Johnson for being the best teacher my son could have ever had. We love you.

Some teachers are alright and care about the students but I think they should not treat students different from one another... Mrs.Hunter is a great teacher.

Ehile the teachers seem to care for the kids they aren't open to parent suggestions if the child is having problems. They expect the parent to take their word as to what the problem is and how to fix it.

Good teachers, care for their students. Would like to see more participation of the staff from the school when kids are representing that school in special events.
