Thumbs Down. My son is special needs. He is supposedly in the 11th grade, he is stuck in one hidden away classroom with their own toilet, sink and refrigerator so the special needs children don't even have to go out of this room to use the cafeteria, restrooms. Or change classes My son is 16 years old and in a classroom with 4 year olds, never integrated with children his own age or normal children. He is Supposed to be in the High School at least for home room, but despite our complaints and federal Law not happening, His Neurologist, Pediatrician and Primary care doctors write letters and requests for to the school stating our son needs to be provided one to one aid for health, sanitation and safety reasons, these requests are not even considered. Even a complaint to the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Special Education Services 405-521-4863 giving the school till 01 September 2014 to get in compliance, is ignored. The post is 100% correct you need to be a good ole boy to get anything in this town. For those that are wondering, our son has Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a severe type of epilepsy with severe learning disability and autistic tendencies.

This school is in a small town and that is just it! You have to be in their "click" to be treated fairly and to have any say about your children. They stick children who are not in their "clicks", in refrigerator boxes, in the middle of the classrooms! The people on the board are the same ones that run it, so therefore, you cannot even complain without taking it way above their heads. Horrible!!

As with any small school it has it downfalls, but if you want your child educated in a school that the majority of the teachers actually care about the students then this is the place. Good hometown values along with community pride. An added bonus is that alot of the teachers are former students and graduates of Geronimo.

It isn't th greatest school but they are tryng to raise the awareness of their struggle. If you are looking for small classes so your child has a fighting chance with the teacher's attention this is the school. Home town feel everywhere.
