Really? Because this year the Guymon band and choirs are each enjoying record enrollment, the band is coming off of a state championship, the choir is coming off an appearance at state as well, the debate team won yet another state championship last year, and the soccer and softball teams are state-championship caliber as well. Sounds to me like someone couldn't hack it or was coddled by a previous ensemble director and then got slammed somewhere else.

Discipline has disappeared. The administration has killed participation in choir, band, and ag programs which used to be top notch. We are in danger of losing our speech and debate coach because of the prinicpal's decision to make him teach remedial English.

About the tests

In 2008-2009 Oklahoma used the Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests End-of-Instruction (OCCT EOI) exams to test students in high school in several subjects. The results for reading and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The OCCT EOI is a high school graduation requirement. The OCCT EOI exams are standards-based tests, which means they measure specific skills defined for each subject by the state of Oklahoma. The goal is for all students to score at or above the satisfactory level on the test.
