Haileyville High School has gone down hill. The administration is more concerned about being friends with the students vs. being a leader and standing up for what is right. They have allowed several great teachers go and continue to make room for the rooms they make no real progress with the students. Many times the childrens work load consists of crosswords and word searches and what can they possibly learn from that. These kids are not being challenged and pushed to their full potential and are certainly not prepared for the next level. I am a graduate of Haileyville and my parents have just recently pulled my younger sister out and completely relocated because of how quickly Haileyville is falling. My advice keep your kids out of Haileyville, it's getting worse with every passing day, the education, the admininstration, the staff, and the budget.

We have attended Haileyville for the last 2 years. The above statement may have been true in the past but great teachers like Mr. Adams and Mr. Cagle are no longer there. Although there are still one or two great teachers they are leaving one by one. There is no communication with parents because the present administration doesn't want parents at or around the school. Education is no longer a top priority at Haileyville. The present School Board has let the people down by standing behind the administration the is letting our children down by not providing the quailty of education they desire

I am thoroughly impressed with Haileyville schools. They have an excellent teacher-to-student ratio (more impressive than that state average)and there are wonderful opportunities there. If you're heading to college, talk with Miss Sweetin or Mr. Adams. They know what is involved. Mr. Cagle knows a lot as well and is always available. For a country school, you would be impressed.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Oklahoma used the Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests End-of-Instruction (OCCT EOI) exams to test students in high school in several subjects. The OCCT EOI is a high school graduation requirement. The OCCT EOI exams are standards-based tests, which means they measure specific skills defined for each subject by the state of Oklahoma. The goal is for all students to score at or above the satisfactory level on the test.
