Would be a good schools if they had a better grade school and high school principal. Too much emphasis on sports. Its not what you know but who you know here

My two girls attended Moss from K-12, graduating last year. I would not change a thing. Both came away with excellent educations and are doing very well in college. I also have a 1st grader that I couldn't be more pleased with. She is in the AR program and loves it, it is an incentive for her to continue reading and improving. I am very proud of my children and their accomplishments and am very grateful for our school. It is truly the best school in the area.

I am very happy with the Moss School system. I drive my children from Holdenville to Moss because I feel that they are in a safer environment. The parents take a very active role in the students activities, both school and extra curricular activities. This is a very nice rural school that takes pride in its students, faculty and campus. The school is very focused on athletics (baseball and basketball). The teachers know each student and his or her capabilities and limitations and they do their best to help each one become better students. The cafeteria serves wonderful meals and is always clean. The grounds are beautifully kept and well taken care of. I've always noticed that everyone has a smile on their face - students, teachers and staff. That alone, tells me everything I need to know.

I graduated from this high school in 2001. The athletic programs were top-notch at this time. I was a four-year letterman here and enjoyed every moment of my sports involvement. We were highly competitive in our class. There was hardly an arts program, but I can see how not having money for these programs affects this absence. I am very glad that I attended Moss. The teachers were very instructive and supportive. The school district did its best given the limitations in funding a small school. Perhaps someday the high school will be able to provide higher level math, science, and history courses for their students.

As a former student, there is absolutely no school that I would rather have attended other than Moss. It is a terrific school. Moss has a great faculty with good morals. It has a very strong academic program, as well as a great atheletic program. Moss is just a great school all the way around.

The advantages of children attending Moss is a closed campus, a rural environment and exceptional faculty in first and third grades. Problems areas would include absence of music and art programs and overall low level of elective subjects.

I am saddened that my kids had to attend a school like this one. It shouldn't be all about winning & being the best. It should be about the kids and teaching them how to play. Hopefully someday it will be that way.
