My son moved from California and attended a public school for the first time at Jenks Freshman Academy. I have nothing but good things to say about this school. They had amazing teachers and staff. Principal Cyrus is one of the most caring people I have ever encountered at a school. They have over 800 freshmen and it is so great that they transition them to High School in this manner. He had really great teachers and it showed on his EIO testing. The students have so many opportunities to grow there.

Really neat school. It allows all high schoolers to be on the same campus, yet Freshmans separate! It's a great start for the incoming 8th graders. It gives them time to get use to high school. The teachers are amazing, and the Principal and assitants do a great job. The only low I can think of with Jenks schools is the cost of their activites (pom, cheer, football, tennis, etc.) It isn't made affordable for all families.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Oklahoma used the Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests End-of-Instruction (OCCT EOI) exams to test students in high school in several subjects. The OCCT EOI is a high school graduation requirement. The OCCT EOI exams are standards-based tests, which means they measure specific skills defined for each subject by the state of Oklahoma. The goal is for all students to score at or above the satisfactory level on the test.
