I am a parent of 3 former students and a grandparent of 4 current students in the Kingston Public Schools. I have been appalled for many years at the way certain children are treated by the teachers and principles. I have had one child and one grandchild who have suffered emotionally at this school. We came from a larger city and my son was making good grades. His teachers all loved him. Shortly after moving him to Kingston, his grades declined to failing and he became extremely depressed. The staff's personal assessment of him was totally opposite of his 2 previous schools. Now I have a grandchild there who is having problems and I find the school's treatment of him to be sad and appalling!
I have three duaghters in Kingston ems . This school is great . Small classes, teacher one on one, and most of all a high sense of school spirit. I myself grew up in a larger city, schools there have over 60 students in them. lots of violence, it was very scary to go to school everyday. I thank god my girls are in such a great school.
My husband and I have three children in Kingston Schools. We have one in each of the schools Elem. middle and High school. All three schools have been a blessing. The Elem. has really helped with my child who has alot of emotional problems. They worked with me in every aspect and I truelly appreciate that. I am from the big city of Dallas, and I went to several big schools, I would never move from here and expose my kids to that kind of life. This small setting is perfect for my kids even if they do not offer everything that a big school would offer. My husband grew up here and went to Kingston Public Schools, and he believes in them also. My kids don't complain either. No more than just the thought of going to school like any other kid.
I have three children in the Kingston schools, I have never had such a bad experince with a school in my life. This school has the lowest scores on the state testing, little to no parent involvement. Next fall my children will not be exposed to this poor excuse for a school.
I have one son in school here and he loves it, as do I. The teachers are great and involve parents in everything. It's honestly like one big family. And we have only been in this community for a 2 years!
My husband and I have two girls in school here and we have found everyone we have dealt with throughout the years very helpful. The teachers my girls have had have gone out of their way to not only teach but make the girls feel special. I have nothing but praise for this school
I have two boys in the school and we are all pleased with the close-nit community feel of our school. I grew up in a city where there were so many kids and teachers that I often have trouble remembering the names of people that were very important. Here there is a sense of almost family and the school has been so willing to help and to learn when nessesary.
