The student/ teacher ratio is small at Leedey, so that each student can receive the one on one time they deserve. Each teacher cares about each student and encourages students during their entire academic career at Leedey and even beyond. I came back several times my first year of college to get help with my chemistry lab work. My high school science teacher took the time to sit down with me and help me figure out my problems. Leedey schools are also involved in several extra curricular activities. Almost every year the Leedey high school baseball and softball teams go to state. Leedey also has a girls and boys basketball team, a speech/drama department, music department, a jr. and sr. high academic bowl team, a Miss LHS pageant, several different academic contest the student are encouraged to enter, and access to college level courses. Leedey is a wonderful school!

I was a high school drop out. At age 24 Mr. Lauder (principle) allowed me to enroll in high school, to achieve my goal to get my high school diploma. I will never forget all the teachers and the staff that helped me achieve this goal. This is the best school I have ever attented. They care about each student, and will do whatever it takes to help a student achieve their goals. I was not looked down upon for being a high school drop out, and all the students in the school also gave me encouragement to graduate. I will be forever honored to be a high school graduate from a school that cares. I learned a lot from everyone and I will never forget that feeling of walking down the isle and receiving my diploma, and what the students and staff did to help me achieve. I thank you all.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Oklahoma used the Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests End-of-Instruction (OCCT EOI) exams to test students in high school in several subjects. The OCCT EOI is a high school graduation requirement. The OCCT EOI exams are standards-based tests, which means they measure specific skills defined for each subject by the state of Oklahoma. The goal is for all students to score at or above the satisfactory level on the test.
