We've experienced both preschool and elementary levels and are happy with both. Our children are testing above their grade level and look forward to each day.
My son is in Mrs. Hogan's class and goes to the before care on Tuesday and Thursday. He loves going. At first he had separation anxiety, but the workers were so sweet and scooped him up and loved on him. It really help me because I was having separation anxiety too. ha ha Mrs. Hogan is always on the floor with the kids. This is important because she is loving on them and them on her. It is a loving, caring environment and that is very important to me.
Love this school! The school teaches all subjects. They are not just teaching for the tests as in public schools. It is refressing to have an environment for my kids that promotes good social behavior as well as a fantastic well rounded curriculum!
My son went to this school last year for preschool, and I am very impressed with what he learned. The teachers were wonderful, the communication between parents & teachers/principle was excellent, and the curriculum exceeded my expectation. He learned so much academically and religiously. He loves to talk about how he loves Jesus and that he died for us. I only wish we didn't have to move, otherwise he would be attending.
PreK at St. John's is awesome! My daughter has learned far more than I expected this year. Her teacher is loving and caring and is always able to meet every need of the kids in her class, a very difficult thing to do with 3 and 4 year olds. We have been so happy here and will send our younger children when they are of age. It's not a big deal now, but I wish they had more electives and extra-curricular activities like foreign language, band and sports. The school is growing by leaps and bounds and I forsee a space shortage in the near future, but the rapid growth is a testament to the strength of their curriculum.
It seems fine for Pre K or Kindergarten, but for 1st Grade on up it is not a good education, in my opinion. It is like a day care center. For what they charge, they should have better teachers and administrators. They are not on the federal lunch program for free and reduced lunches like other private schools. No after school activities. We will not send our child back to this school.
As an educator, I was determined to find a school for my daughter that promoted high curriculum standards, social skills, religion and safety. St. John's has provied in these areas and more. I cannot say enough wounderful things about this school. Thank you so much for giving my daughter the skills needed to be a successful preschooler!
The teachers and staff genuinely care for the children and their families. Our kids have blossomed and I was amazed at how much they've learned in one year. We're already happily into our second year there.
St. John's is awesome! our daughter has been attending for three years experiencing both the pre-k and elementary programs. We cannot say enough positive things about the staff, curriculum, facility, etc - it's all great an we are completely satisfied! thank you, st. Johns!
My child has been going here for a few years now and we will not be coming back next year. The skills needed to be learned aren't there. The children are rushed through their day and not given enough time to complete their work most of the time. There is no real gym class, no sports. They do have computer lab that we do like and art and music and religion. The teachers seems real sweet and the staff is nice as well. The cleanliness of the school needs work! The floors are almost always dirty and the bathrooms could use more cleaning. i have mixed reviews of this school.
