This school is well organized and has expesional staff, I would go nowhere else.
I love this school! Never in my life have i actually wanted to get involved as much as i want to here. I am a NJHS officer, basketball and football manager, im in STUCO(student counsel) and in recycling club. I know this school inside and out. It has definetly been a brilliant experience attending this school for three years.
We moved into the Moore School System a few years ago. Prior that that, we lived in another state. I have 3 children. Never before have I been so satisfied with a school. I have had dealings with 4 other school systems, as well as a private school, and none were up to par. The fact that we have been dealing with this school for 2 years and I haven't had to confront a teacher/principal/superintendent is a testament to how well this school is doing. I can even keep up with my child's grades and attendence online with a login and password.
I attend this school and I think it's great. You can tell the teachers are putting as much effort as possible into the students learning. Although some teachers do only assign work book pages or outlines, no matter how boring it may be, your learning more than some people. Lunch is chaos though! People are always getting in front of others and they act like it's nothing. I'll be in the middle of the line at one minute and at the end another. It's unfair because I only get a few minutes to eat.
I work at this school and find that the teachers performance is above average. I see teachers trying very hard to achieve the goals set before them for their students to achieve at a higher level of expentations. I also see a caring nature towards each student to strive for the best each child can have to feel an acclomplishment of goals meet. Rules are set and students are expected to stay withing their guide lines to provide a save and secure learning enviornment.
I think they need to restore or utilize the ZAP program so parents will be aware if their kids are falling behind, and focus on programs which builds kids' self-esteem, instead of sports or 'popular' activities. Kids who seemingly 'don't want to learn' have issues which need to be dealt with at home and at school! This school needs some positive interaction besides PTA between parents and staff.
I think they need better teachers and more discipline for the kids who just don't care to learn, so that they dont disturb the kids who want to learn!
