Because it has so much heritage in Oklahoma City. It's the first African American school built in the 1800's. My father and grandmother graduated from Douglass. Trojan for life!

Most teachers will help you through homework, school work, even through things you face in life. You have to be willing to talk to them and get to know then. When they say they wont tell anyone what you all talk about 90% of the time it is true... Ms. Lewis, Mr. Brown and Ms. Harland are the best!

There are teachers willing to go the extra mile to help. Tell the kids not to be ashamed to ask. It's ok to ask for help. Mr. Fransisco is the best.
