My daughter has is in 5th grade now and has been there since KG, we have loved this school and will miss it very much. The teachers and staff are great. Its too bad we have to move because the middle school she is supposed to go to has such a bad reputation and we were not about to chance our childrens experiences. Coronado was great but do not send your children as lambs into the lions den at Capps middle school. Love Coronado!!!

Perfect Attendance is not important at this school. Good Luck , getting a certificate if your child has perfect attendance. Also, a teacher told my child she was not smart enough to be in a special math class. Well, my child proved her wrong she scored advanced on the state test.

We absolutely love Coronado - my daughter came in as a tranfer student 3 years ago and I have been so happy with our choice! I only wish this wasn't her last year there - thankfully, we have a new one starting next year!

My child attended Coronado this past year for the first time. One word comes to mind when I think of our experience with Coronado.... amazing!! He would cry on the weekend because he couldn't go to school. His teacher Mrs. Sparks made him feel like he could learn to do anything he set his mind to! She was a God send for our family, and we can't wait to see what 2nd grade brings!

My son began attending Coronado in the second grade. Prior to his attendance at to Coronado, he had attended several schools in the OKC District anwas reading nowhere near his grade level . Over the last 2 years that my son has attended Coronado, I have notice how he has mature and excelled academicly. Last year, he had Mrs. Proctor. My child 'fell in love with learning'. I saw him make incredible leaps and bounds in most areas, especially reading. I was worried that he would never catch-up to his grade level. Although he still has a ways to go, Ms. Proctor never gave up, and was willing to go up and beyong the call of duty to help my child. Any child would be extremely lucky to have a teacher like Mrs. Proctor. If you looked the word TEACHER up in the dictionary... you would see Mrs. Proctor 's picture.

I am actually the grandparent of 2 children who attend Coronado. Our daughter went to OKC Public Schools through graduation and I have to say Coronado is by far the best school I have seen. One of our grandchildren is in a special needs class. He has grown and learn by leaps and bounds at Coronado. The school he transferred from was doing little to nothing to help him. God Bless the staff and the wonderful teachers at this school.

The teachers and staff are wonderful. I feel as though each teacher takes a personal approach to teaching, and the children receive the best education in the state! We moved to this district because of Coronado Heights Elementary and we plan on moving after our child leaves 5th grade.

Our daughter went here for 5 years. Best school in the whole state our my opinion! Our daughter loved it and still wants to go back and see her teachers. She will be starting 8th grade in the fall. Has a great and very active PTA. Our daughter started chorus here, (as a way to go on fun field trips), and now is in the chorus in middle school because of the love for music instilled in her by us as well as the music teacher at Coronado.

This school is honestly the one of the best in the country. The teachers are amazing. One teacher, Mrs. Sparks, had a smile every single time I saw her. You could tell that she and so many of the teachers there love their jobs and students. Last year, I was amazed when I noticed kids of all the grades crying because it was the last day of school! I am so sad this school only goes to fifth grade- I wish mine could stay until college!

My daughter has attended Coronado Heights for 4 years and loves it, she enjoys going to school everyday. The principal, Kelly Suchy, is wonderful and you can tell she cares about the kids and their education. The teachers are top notch. My daughter has had great teachers, but two stand-out as exceptional. Mrs. Lisa Dixon and Mrs. Erin Frizzell. These two women are extraordinary and show a true passion for their work. They not only care about their students education, they value them as people, make them stronger citizens and show them absolute love and respect. I am truly lucky my daughter has had the opportunity to attend this school and look forward to sending my other daughter to Pre-K in 2004. This is the best elementary school not only in the PC School district, but in any school district in the state.
