This is a great school! I don't think you really appreciate it until you have some experience with other schools. I have had kids in north OKC schools, Perry schools and Blackwell schools. Perry is by far the best. Is there room for improvement? Always! But overall they now have nice facilities, good leadership, and some very committed teachers. This community has always had excellent community support also. I grew up going to this school and now so do my kids! After having them in other schools and experiencing that, I feel I can say Perry schools are good schools overall and great in many areas!
My second child is going through this school. All the teachers we met so far were very nice with the kids and very creative (in a good way). The principal is very competent and simply likes kids. Thank you!
Obvisously the person above has no clue, some teachers of this school should be booted. There are few teachers that do really care and interact with the students, but as I said few. Overall the school has improved their playground, but teacher involvement as well as school involvement in helping a child progress instead of regress, is little to none. The principal can only do so much if he doesn't hear from the parents, and if the teacher was let go mid-term, he does not have to provide you an excuse. Personally, it's good to see that the principal is doing his job! Frankly establishment and curriculum could be better, as well as involvement with the children and extra activities! along with the parents! Which this school seems to lack alot of!
