I am a former graduate of Ringling and have children that are current students at this school. I choose to drive an hour to and from work each day from Ringling so that my children have the opportunity to go to such a wonderful school, that has such a caring and concerned staff. Academics at this school are important and the students are better prepared than at other school in the surrounding area. Ringling is well known for it's excellence in extracurricular activities, especially in football. The level of parent support and involvement with the school and at school functions is great and also is the school involvement within the community. I attended and graduated college after graduating high school from Ringling and was prepared academically for every area of study, helping me to succeed with little trouble. I highly recommend this school system.
No violence. The teachers care about the students. Sports are perhaps taken too seriously; however, teamwork is an important lesson in life. In regards to academics, I went directly from RHS to college at Oklahoma State, and then law school. My sister went from RHS to college at Oklahoma State, and then medical school. I now live in Oklahoma City and will have to send my child to private school because I do not live in Ringling.
I'll make this a simple review. This school is horrible. I graduated from Ringling a few years back and I don't recomend this arrogant and ignorant place to any parents. Stay away from this place unless of course you like football (a lot)... This is school has maybe 2 members of the faculty that aren't worthless. The highschool principle is a joke, plain and simple. This man in my opinon is one the most sexist and narrowminded people I have ever had the misfortune of coming in contact with. Words of advice: If you are striving for your child to have a great education, a nice culturally broad veiw and an overall good time in school...Then do not go to this school.
