This is the most amazing school I have ever been part of. It is very clear that all the Teachers and the Principle are very involved in the positive development of every child both emotionally and academically. I am so glad that my grandchildren are blessed to be part of this amazing school and Faculty.

FANTASTIC. So blessed to be able to take my children there. The faculty is incredible, and the school is so clean and nice.

Bullying is alive and well at NRC! Many students suffer from bullying and the principal does nothing about it! Several have transferred out. School discipline in general is poor, again because the principal is ineffective in dealing with discipline problems. Potentially a great school, but it will never be so unless they get a handle on discipline.

My kids have gone to this school for 4 years and it has been great! We have considered moving out of town several times and don't because of the school. The teachers are very caring and will call you personally if there are any problems. The pricipal was my son's pre k teacher and is the most caring person that you could want watching your students. if you are considering this school just visit for a day and i promise that you will want your student to attend.

I highly recommend this school. I have not had any problems with bulllying (my daughter is in 4th) She has attended this school since PreK. The teachers are very caring. The best thing NRC has to offer is a fantastic elementary principal and an all day PreK! Also it is a part of ORES (oklahoma rural educational system) and separate from Shawnee public schools, which are not all that great. Also, where I live, the kids have a choice between attending Earlsboro High or Shawnee High, and thats a nice freedom. Also this is one of the best funded schools in the area. There is a small tribal housing area near by, but for the most part there aren't lots of 'bad kids' associated with this area, like what is often associated with public housing areas. If your looking for a good school with out the stuck-up attitudes this is it!

All three of my children have attended NRC since PRE-K, and we are very happy with this school. I wish they had a high-school since my oldest will be graduationg this year, but I know that they have more than prepared her for highschool and college. We had some rough patches in the sixth grade, but the faculty was prompt in taking care of any concern I had. I could not imagine my children going to any other school and I am fortunate to be apart of the system for many years to come when my little one starts school. We love being Cougars!

My child has attended NRC since 1st grade. He has just now entered 6th. We have been extremely pleased every year with every teacher, coach and faculty member. I wish we could keep him there through high school. We are very proud to be NRC Cougars.

The teachers at NRC have at all times been very supportive in every endeavor my child participates. I see the teachers encouraging their students in the classroom as well as at ball games, academic bowls and many other extra-curricular activities. Although it is hard for the teacher to know everything about her or his classroom. It is also the responsibility of the parents to be supportive. How else can our children learn if we are to just let the teachers do it all. It is a group effort. I've also attended this school since first grade. They've done a great job in the community and the students.

This schools'safety has improved since the camaras have been installed. However that does not help on the bus. If you have seen the line of cars out front you know something is not right. North Rock Creek is blind when it comes to cell phones and camaras and I pods. Often parents are not notified if thier children get in trouble. Often the child can do community service, this takes away from the parents right to guild, correct or even be aware of thier childs behavior. Dale always calls the parents.

My children have been going to school here for 7 years and anytime I have a problem with anything. Mrs. Sims, Mr. Moore, and all the teachers my kids have had are always able to clear the matter up quickly. Being the mother of a child with disabilities I have worked with her teacher and have seen remarkable improvement in my child who I was told would never have the capability to mentally progress. And with my other children, they have alot of parent teacher conferences to keep you updated on your childs progress. And the safety of our children is wonderful. I love that they keep the doors locked from the outside so my kids are always safe. They have basketball, band, Spanish, art, softball, choir, cheerleading, and even football! they have fieldtrips, awards assembly's, PTA, fudraisers, dances, community nights, and more. W love NRC! and those that dont just arent involved enough.

North Rock Creek school does the best that it can with its very limited funding! If you are a parent of a GT student you will not want your child at NRC.

My daughter is now starting 2nd grade. She has attended this school since kindergarten. The academics are wonderful and I am highly pleased with the teachers and the new principal. Mrs. Sims is a wonderful principal with great morals. My daughter had problems with a child for 2 years and Mrs. Sims immediately helped us unlike the previous principal. The moral is awesome throughout the school. The academics are awesome! I'm glad that my daughter has such great role models there. The teachers and principal acutally care about their children. That says a lot. Myself and my family are proud to be North Rock Creek Cougars. Thank You NRC for everything!

I love the fact that NRC has added football, since NRC doesn't go through High School this gives them a heads up for future sports in other schools. The academics are great and this just makes them more rounded. It would be better if NRC DID go through high school and parents and students didn't have to go through the change of selecting a high school.

I am pleased overall w/ the academic program. My son has really come along way. I like his teachers (most of them). When my son first started going staff did not know who I was and was not the friendliest. Honestly, I try not deal with any of them as much as possible. I understand parent involvement is almost extinct but I have a full time job, school, and family and when I cannot participate in events I make sure to send any supplies they might need. I do the best I can.

My daughter has enjoyed all of her years at NRC, but would like to see it add a high school. I feel that it would be beneficial as the kids could continue on with there friends. The adminsitration does a wonderful job ensuring that the kids are safe and the teachers take and active interest in the kids well being. I've never been associated with a school as well rounded as NRC.

My children love North Rock Creek and the teachers or the best. We now can hold or heads up. The administration is the best we've had in the last 10 years. He is very caring and looks at what is best for all not just one or two people. I wish that we would have mor parent involved with our school we have around 490 children. There are only a hand full of parents that volunteer. If more of our parents would help in the school we could do so much more for the children and our teachers. It's not just the job of the teachers it's also the parents job. Thanks to all our teachers.

My children have gotten an excellent education at North Rock Creek School. One has gone on to college so far and excelled in every course taken. The teachers are very well prepared and are a group of caring people. They go the extra mile when ever they know of a problem. The administrationis always willing to listen and help in any way possible. My experience is that there is very little parent involvement at North Rock Creek. It is not from a lack of the school asking for parent involvement or offering many opportunities for the parents to be involved but a lack on the parents. My children would love to see NRC become a 12 year school

Due to an excellent administration and caring faculty, North Rock Creek is regaining its excellent academic reputation, despite a high poverty level. A caring, supportive and extremely active PTA give this small school an edge over many larger districts. Many families choose to move into this district from other nearby districts because of the support our children get from the faculty.
