I am a parent of two children currently in elementary, i belive there are a few teachers who need to retire, once you have lost the love to teach it is time to move on! i feel that our academic level is lacking in part to budget and in part to our teachers. We currently do not offer any music, arts, or p.E. I also feel that as parents we want an a plus education, but most are'nt willing to put forth any effort. Due to lack of time and intrest. We have the choice to help our children, there is only so much teachers can do. It's time we step up and take responsablity for our children.

I think that the principle is distant, and there is bullying allowed, and I guess the administration is too busy to stop it. Education standards are week, the teachers act like the students, and over all the school is ran poorly. If you can, send your kids to another school. Also, the technology is extremely poor, and the School Admin and board won't spend money, even though it gets grants, on new computers and such.

I am not a parent I am a current student of Soper. I am going into the 9th grade this year and I believe that our education is behind other schools(having gone to a different school int he 5th I did stuf then that I was doing in the 8th) but the teachers are able to have a 1 on 1 relationship with us and they teach us not only on an educational level but on a personal one as well.

I have two children still going to this school at the present time. One is in the 8th and one is a Sr. For the past couple years the elementary student educational well being has not been taken care of. One of the teachers has had a lot of medical problems with her family and has not be able to work. The kids have been the ones that have lost in this situation. I think our children's education should be first priority. They have had to have this one and that one substituting and been pushed off one or another of the other teachers to pick up the slack and I don't feel that is right. They should hire someone that is qualified to teach them and keep them on staff.
