Last Fall, I suddenly found myself in the position of raising 3 grand children and tbh, I was scared to be transferring children from out of state in the middle of a semester. The school pulled together an immediate meeting including principal, vice principal, teachers, school psychologist, and many others, to listen, evaluate, and come up with a plan. I felt like I had been taken under some huge wing! It turned out to be a very successful year and my kids just love it there!
Actually, the homework was more than I expected, but I really liked the weekly packets they sent home. It taught my granddaughter how to manage her time vs homework through the week and it also gave me the chance to have a closer eye on what she was suppose to be learning.
Have been to Sangre for 2 Grandparents days and thought the school was great!! Thank you for such friendly teachers, staff and good food. Keep up the good work. Linda Carnes grandparent of Kylar and Kayden Brady
The curriculum promotes 'thinking' not just memorization. The teachers plan their to promote higher level thinking. The children become actively involved in learning. It is a great environment for parents that want to participate in their child's learning. The teachers are all top notch, many are nationally board certified. The school's excellence is reflected in the achievement scores of the students. Sangre is simply a great elementary school!
What a fabulous school! My children have attended from Kindergarten through 5th grade at Sangre and I cannot imagine a better education anywhere. There are a huge number of National Board Certified teachers and the quality of education certainly shows!
