At Will Rogers Elementary, the teachers are very caring about the students individually. However, they realize that caring is not enough. They also have high expectations for the students and support them in their learning. With a high population of students that speak other languages and that are on free and reduced lunches, teachers work hard to help the students grow.
I have never taught in a school that was so child-centered, always making every decision based on what is best for the children. The faculty and staff is like a family, extremely supportive of each other. We all have a common goal - To provide the children of Will Rogers with a safe and nurturing environment in which to learn to their full potential.
My son is in the Pre-K program at Will Rogers and we have had such a great experience so far. Our son being so happy about school is our greatest testament, and we love that the teachers are so involved with the kids and parents. The school offers a lot of activities and opportunities for the whole family!
Will Rogers is a great school. The building itself is old and outdated, but we had great expereinces with the teachers. The teachers really get involved with the kids and the parents. The PTA is pretty large, and they have a lot of activities for the children. Overall a good school with great teachers.
