I would not recoomend this school to anyone in. My daughter has attended since pre-k, there is a huge amount of bullies. The school has no PTA due to a complete lack of parent involvement. The best thing about this school is the teaching staff. We can not wait for my daughter to start 5th grade at a new school
My son has attented this school since he started Pre-K. He will be in First this year and is stoked for the 20th to come around. The staff is very friendly and are very good with the children.
My son started in Kindergarten and is in 5th grade now. He loves his school. The kindness and compassion of his teachers is heartwarming.
My son is in first grade, my daughter in all day pre k. They love their school. They are both doing so well! My son is reading incredibly well, my daughter is learning her letters and surprises us daily on what she is learning. So far, I believe that the teachers are doing an excellent job. I get a lot of feedback. I'm pregnant with our third and hope to have him in Sandburg as well!
My children started last year, one is 2nd the other in 5th. They do not call me when they need to. My oldest gets bullied alot and nothing is done. I have complained several times. They will not attend next year.
Nice teachers, but would not recommend this school. My son went there for almost two years and as soon as I was able to get him out of there, I did. They did not keep us informed on his progress, or lack of progress, even when we called and asked. This school is the lowest is Tulsa county!
My child has recently started Sandburg elementary in the 5th grade. So far, she seems to like it. The school is small and that makes for knowing each child a little easier. The safety procedures after school and before is realy good. The nurse and principle is nice, however the office staff can seem a bit overwhelmed at times and forgetful. I also found out that in order to sit in on classroom observation, one must make an appointment. I think that a parent should have the opportunity to sit in with their child whenever they like. It seems to me that a scheduled time might 'change' things for both the student and teacher, but that's just my opinion. Overall, the school seems decent and my daughter seems to really like it.
