School Of St Mary5

Great Catholic school. The school teaches a grade above at every level and Spanish is required. Children are consistently very well-prepared for high school. School tests in the 90% in nearly all, if not every subject. Student volunteer hours are required starting in fifth grade and students are encouraged to attend parent teacher conferences. Extracurricular activities are plentiful. Students are often praised for their behavior during field trips. Parents are required to provide 25 volunteer hours a year. My favorite feature is the buddy system where kindergartners are paired with sixth graders, first graders paired with seventh graders, and second graders paired with eighth graders. The older children are taught the responsibility of being role models and mentors to the younger children and showing them the ropes of the school; the younger children love having an older friend at school. There is a no tolerance policy on bullying and physical contact. Very safe school and prepares and expects responsibility from their students. The one thing I would like to see is more diversity in this school.
We feel so blessed to have our daughter at St. Mary's. The academics are strong, the staff is very competent and caring, and the sense of community is really something special. Most importantly, they educate the whole child, mind, spirit and body. You just don't find this combination at very many schools. The preschool is wonderful too. We are very happy and are so glad we chose St. Mary's!
My grandsons have attended St. Mary's for only one year, and they have both excelled greatly in all areas of study. Plus, taking part actively in the teachings of the Bible. God is in this school. The teachers are excellent, and the parents are involved. The facility is clean and well managed in all areas. We love St. Mary!!!
