The MDO and Victory KidsCare are top quality programs. My son (11) went to these programs since he was a baby and his sister daughter (2) has been at VKC program since she was almost 1. The staff are super friendly. The building is decorated like a theme park. The rooms are a good size and they have awesome indoor and outdoor play areas. The directors are caring and responsible.
I'm a mother of a 1 year old at Victory Kids Care and I couldn't be happier with this daycare. We had our son with family friends and I looked into other child care centers in Tulsa but I am convinced that this one is the best!! Definitely worth every penny. I don't attend the church but the Kids Care director and staff are so friendly. They ALWAYS get back to me right away. So helpful... so loving. I feel really blessed to be able to keep my son there. Since I have to work, I'm thankful to Victory Kids Care for creating a safe CHRISTIAN nurturing EDUCATIONAL environment for my precious baby boy!!
My kids started at Victory Christian school in 2004. My older two have graduated and are now going to two of the top universities in the country on full scholarships. My youngest will graduate in 2011 and has already been offered scholarships. In fact, the investment we made in sending them to Victory has paid off in more ways than one...it has proven to be the best decision we ever made for them academically, physically, & spiritually.
We have experience with Kids Care which is the Childcare at Victory. We were fortunate to have a great teacher, Ms Clora, but the rest of the staff there has us counting days till we can get our child out of there. They don't communicate, they are not friendly, and I'm still waiting for the director to call me back on something she was going to check on for my child and that was a month ago. She just never calls back when she says she will. Some daycares you walk in and you just feel the love and the joy there, but not this one. I'm not happy to have used this facility yet it cost me so much. I thank God we had a great teacher, so I guess that makes it worth enduring with all the negative points.
Victory Christian School in Tulsa has a great K-3 and K-4 program, and now I hear rumor they might be closing. Sad that another Christian school might fall to the side of teaching our children about Jesus and giving them a leg up in preparing for K-5 and on. The teachers there really care and my son has again learned so much. I do hope that this school will be around for many years and not to close their doors on our young children.
Ok im a highschooler and i know exactly how this school is, i've been goinghere for five years. I can honestly say there is not a single 'click' in my grade eeryone is friends with everyone and if there are people who dont have many friends its usually because the have a 'im better than you' attitude. The teachers are great and the athletics are good. Im playing soccer for the first time in high school and im gonna stay in it until i graduate because i love the team and coach. Other people have said that there are bad influences but since victory started doing random drug tests all the bad influences are gone. There is such a great vibe in the halls and bond between the students. And as far as the academics go i think theyre perfectly fine! i know for a fact i've learned more going here.
i think this is a good school, but the school tends to have some bad influences in it. i have had issues with the other students with some very sexual related stuff.
Victory is a place for christains but also not everyone there is a christain. It's your average school with the populars, nerds, preps, ect. The dress code is pretty relaxed. The teachers are like every other teacher, Besides their are a few truely special teachers who truely care for their students. Over all victory is a good school but for academics not as much
As you gaze through the past reviews notice the difference in tone and references to lack of education qualifications at the HS level. There in lies some of the many problems this school has. In actuality, this school like its big brother across the street has become the laughing stock of Oklahoma even their school slogan 'Quality Without Compromise' is a Joke. When a pastor hires relatives and parents to run the school that is only the begininng of the compromise. However, until the school admin. seeks pentance within this town for all the lies they have told about children to seek the glory of it's patrons for money. This school and church will never be blessed in the eyes of God nor anyone who serves it's means that have turned a blind eye to the rumors they have heard. Yes the rumors are true!
i just went to vcs from nyc and i feel bless that im in a envorment that is safe and tells us about the only true savior and they prepared us for the real world yes they are focus most about God but while we are studying about God we are also geting our edcucation and are teacher push us beyond our limits most student are not greatful for coming to victory because it is very strict andstudy hall is really fun since i came i have been making A'snd B's than making C'c and D's
Educationally I would consider this a relatively mediocre school. While this does not apply to all teachers, many of the teachers are under qualified for their positions and spend more time focusing on indoctrinating students religious with the school's fundamentalist values. Which leads me to say that this school focuses much more on indoctrination than education. This almost reaches a point of immaturity and unprofessional behavior on the staff and administration's part. For example, I have personally heard multiple teachers and administrators openly mock homosexuals in the classroom. As a previous review of the school said, it is very difficult to form your own opinions and views as the school makes it a point to make sure that students all have the exact same way of thinking. Bottom line: If your children having fundamentalist Christian values is more important to you than education, send your children here. Otherwise, steer clear.
I have two daughters who attend Victory One in k-3 and one in k-5. The involvement of the parents and the teacher to student ratio is nothing but top notch! Over all i have seen nothing but positive's from Victories staff and parents! Overall I do not have any problems with Victory or it's staff.
Victory Christian is kind of a joke. I went there and I would advise you not to go there. They offer hardly any AP classes, or honors classes. There is also special treatment for athletes. It is just sad...
Victory claims to instill quality without compromise, but I must say, this is not true. They focus so much on the spiritual and not so much on academics. Of course you do go to a christian school for the spiritual side, but Victory fails to do well in the area of academics. Their extra curricular activities lack greatly. They offer quite a few options, but they are only good in football. I would definitely say to not go there if you have an interest in music, especially vocal music. Their vocal program is terrible. I went there in middle school, but now I go to Jenks which I find much better.
I graduated from Victory in 2003. No other school offers the academic, athletic, and spiritual guidance like Victory does. The school's mission trip program from 6th grade to 12th grade is the best program in the mid-west region.
One of the best schools in the greater tulsa area. THis school has done wonders for our two children.
Victory has made an awesome difference in the lives of my family. Our daughter began attending Victory in Kindergarten and is now going into the fourth grade. The teachers and staff have helped instill the love of God in our daughter, as well as encouraged her to excel in academics and sports. Victory is not a perfect school--but, then, there is no perfect school. Victory has had such a positive impact on my family that we are now members of the church and I am now employed at Victory. Since working there, I see even more clearly that the complaints of students and parents are often the result of their own efforts--what they have or have not put into the school. We cannot 'fix' a student, but we can provide the resources for the family and the ministry together to change lives. Victory loves parent involvement.
This school is average in terms of academics. It is 'Christian.' Rules, dress codes, and religion prevail. There are cliques. There are some double standards. Gender specific expectations are promoted as are certain political views. There is uniformity of values and thought. Questioning is interpreted as a sign of rebellion. Forming one's own values is difficult. There is an unending effort to instill a particular lifestyle and faith in the student - even at the expense of more traditional goals. Unfortunately, many graduates are ill equipped to enter the real world and many hold a simple, naive world view. Don't kid yourself. All the bad stuff that happens at a public school happens here. It's just hidden better.
My little boy has been going to Victory for 3 years now. While he is 2nd grade, His reading skills is awesome and I am amazed that he is doing Extremely well in Math. Not public school 2nd grade math either. He learns all about the Bible and loves to tell me all about his day at school. He also plays Football and loves the coaches. I have liked the parents and faculty of this school and have no plans to remove him at all. I do feel much better about the safety of my child there than any Public school around town.
I have had 2 daughters attend vcs. I moved them from public school thinking the bullying, clicks, gossip, and meaness would be better at a christian school, but I was wrong. Kids are the same no matter where they attend school. When you pay for education you expect a good education, discipline on important matters, teachers to prepare kids for the next grade level and to prepare them for college.
