Talk about your experiences as parent of a high schooler in Tulsa. What's good and what's not so good?

The entire TPS system needs an overhaul. TPS's Central High School is in need of additional security, school supplies and a staff that is open and willing to have parents involved in school activities and overall development.

I'm trying very hard to come up with something positive to say. We jumped on the "No Child Left Behind" bus when my son started HS because his home school is Hale, which is under-performing. What we didn't realize is that the ONLY non-magnet school in Tulsa that is NOT under-performing is Memorial. So now he goes to Memorial, along with every other child in Tulsa whose parentsare willing to drive them across town. His AP English class has 37 students in it. Hale, his home school, is now a "magnet" school dedicated to food service. Just last week the Health Dept. shut them down because the roach problem was so bad. Way to go, TPS.
