This is a great school, they just need work on there communication skills with the parents, I don't know how many times I have gotten notices that something is going on the day before the event. Once my daughters art was in the big art show and I received the paper that Monday telling me that she had art in there. To be fair to them my daughter was not in school that Thursday and Friday she out of town with her cousin but she has too younger sisters that go to school there the art teacher could have sent the information home with her. When I talked to the art teacher to make sure that the art work would be sent home so we could see it since we where unaware that it was there she said yes it will come home. I asked her if this happens again if she could please give it to one of her siblings she then told me it is not her responsibility to do that. So I thanked her and went on my way. I have been getting more frustrated with the school over the last year or so.

This school just changed to a 1st through 5th grade school from a 3rd through 5th. The teachers are not used to having younger children, so safety is a big issue for me. When school gets out, no one makes sure the 1st and 2nd graders get where they are supposed to. It needs some real help.

Central Intermediate is a very loving caring environment. My daughter had a classmate pass away. Not only did her teacher call to let me know, but the school immediately took action to help the kids understand their feelings. They planted a garden in the playground and expressed their feelings. The teachers are quality and I have never had any difficulty communicating my concerns with them. It's a wonderful school!
