Reedville Elementary School3

This school does the best possible with what it's been given. Teachers care and do their best, but with class sizes what they are, split classes, and lots of students needing various helps to meet benchmark, students at or above grade level are often ignored. As often the case these days, teachers are becoming babysitters rather than educators. The principals have been great, but we're now getting our 4th principal in two years, so it's a little lacking in stability. The PTA is fairly involved, however, and provides a fair amount of support in addition to fun extracurricular activities.
Our children attend Reedville elementary. The staff is great, very helpful! Reedville is a small (365 children attend)school. The class size is small comparative to other schools in the area. We have a new principle who is very motivated to making great changes, and to better our childrens education and experience. Parental involvement is medium/high with a very active PTA. After school art program is a huge success. They've also had a bingo night (for community involvement), school carnival, dances are just a few activities. They encourage the children to take a sense of pride in their school and the community! Plus there are more changes still in the works to make Reedville the best it can be! As for the pervious review, our son has eaten their well balanced school lunches and has NEVER gotten sick!
