I am a senior at amity high and have been with the amity school district since my freshman year.... my mother also graduated from amity as it was still a union high in '81! amity is a very different school district from most others you would see in the area around yamhill co. they focus on keeping their students on track academically, out of trouble, and in sports! amity is a very good school to attend and start your future at:) Thanks Matt R.

Amity High School is clearly the heart of the Amity community. The efforts of all the dedicated and professional teachers are paying off as indicated by the consistency of very high and full-ride college scholarships Amity students are receiving from Universities, including such schools as Willamette University. It is absolutely amazing what the teachers and staff can do with such a small budget in such a small town. I thanks them for the excellent work they have done for my children!

Their are many great teachers. A few deserve special recognition as amazing teachers like Kimi Romey, Linda Crafton & Karen Fanning who are completely dedicated to their students inside and outside of the classroom.

Very few students, but all excellent. Teachers are awesome! Great secretaries and counselling. Coaches vary, some like to tire their players out by playing them over and over. Other than that, one of the best schools in Yamhill.

Amity High school is a great school. There isn't a lot of students, but all the students are great. Like 80% of the students that took the CIM passed Biology. The teachers are great and are fun. The sports are great and the coaches great. They care about their players and try to help them get over their weaknesses.

This is a very tight knit conservative community that puts an enormous amount of energy into thier schools.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Oregon used the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science. The OAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oregon. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
