I have been going to Knappa schools since I was in the sixth grade. I love this school so much better than Astoria. Mainly because it is much smaller. The sports are fun especially when you come out onto the basketball court and you see pretty much all of Knappa squished there. I would choose this school over any other. They kids are really friendly. You won't find that many seperations in the different groups. Everyone is pretty much friends with everyone.

Knappa High is a small but supportive school for its students. I have been an exchange student 4 years ago, and enjoyed my stay very much. I agree to the entry where it said that Knappa High students quickly accept newcomers. I participated in the sport offers and were excited about the importance that athletic events play in the school life. Hopefully, this mentality will continue in the future.

Knappa High School has a good variety of classes to offer the students given its small size. It could improve on the elective choices to meet the needs and interests of the students. Sports are big in Knappa and they are supported well by the community. As a parent I find the students to be respectful, caring, and supportive of their school. Parents are supportive of their kids whether it be at an athletic event, chaperoning a dance or helping with a fundraiser. I am pleased with our current principal (Mrs. Hagen). I feel she relates well with the students and staff and is fair with her dicipline. The teachers overall are doing a good job in the classroom. They can also be seen at extracurricular activities and are involved in our community.

Knappa school has some advantages like strong banking and sports but most students I speak with say they think their techers could be more friendly and give less work. teachers often give work just to keep students out of the way.

Knappa High School is a great school in a tight-knit community. The class sizes are small enough to give students a good amount of personal attention. My daughter graduated from KHS two years ago and I have a son who is a Junior. I have found that the teachers care about the students and go the extra mile to meet with them before or after school to give extra help. The teachers also do a good job of communicating with parents and responding when we call with questions or concerns. The students of KHS all get along well together and quickly accept newcomers. The whole community seems to come and support the school sports teams. This is a great boost for the athletes. I have found that the school board is also responsive to the concerns of parents.

This school is a good school if you choose to have a great opportynity at sports. However, if you wish to get an excellent education, Knappa may not be for you. Knappa has a good agriculture program, woodshop, spanish and accounting programs. I would highly recommend you go to this school if you choose to emphasize in any one of these programs.
