Haines Elementary is your quintessential small school. Enrollment is only about 70 students in K-6. However, every student is personally known by the teachers and office staff. They offer some great individualized learning through assistants and volunteers. The PTCO is very active, and typically raises $7,000 to $9,000 for educational equipment, playground equipment, additional field trips. The PTCO even buys ALL school supplies, so parents don't have to go shopping with that list - the teacher buys what they want. Both of our sons attend Haines, and we are so grateful to have a school like this in our community !
