A great school that has an excellent curriculam, caring teachers and very involved parents. Lots of student enrichment through activities of chess club, science night, open house, class projects, music and sports. Awesome PTO working in partnership with staff makes an environment that encourages the community to be involved. Excellent music program that touches on so many aspects of language, history, math, AND music. Principal really sets a great tone for respectful behavior and the students feel a sense of ownership and strive for postive behaviors and good citizenship.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Oregon used the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science. The OAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oregon. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
