My daughter has gone here all three years of middle school and is a straight A student. She has been continually challenged and almost all of the teachers I have encountered here are of high caliber. But the best thing about this school is there really doesn't seem to be any bullying, and they have a special program to welcome and support teach class of incoming 6th graders. This school is fabulous!

I removed my child from this school due to the amount of nasty jelous girl drama. Some of the teachers were very nice, but definatly not worth the hassle.

This school is amazing! The teachers are amazing, and help students to understand the subjects better. The teaching method is NOT dry and uninspiring. It is one of the best schools in Bend, with a fantastic athletic program. The students here are happy, and there are very few cases of bullying. The teachers here are all different, so, of course, their teaching methods are all different. Some teachers can be boring at times, or some can be fun and entertaining. There is a life skills department at HDMS, for kids with disabilities. HDMS is one of the best schools i have ever been to. Every kid that comes here will always turn out happy and successful. There have been many kids here who have come from bad experiences and only became stronger at this school. I would recommend this school to all parents moving to the Bend area. This school is fantastic!

HDMS leaves a lot to be desired. The teaching method is dry and uninspiring. The kids have not had one field trip this year. The students are rarely on the computer. Absolutely no computer tech training. The faculty is full of excuses and their answer to any issues is "find another school". I would not recommend this school to anyone ever.

This school is the best to go in Bend, Or. They have a great athletic program with coaches that spend time with each athlete. The teachers are good professional and nice. I've had two kids to go their and each of them turned into extraordinary young adults. I am very pleased with this school and recommend it to anyone with a child going into middle school!

This is my second child to go to HDMS and we are still happy with the academic and athletic programs. The school is great and I am glad to have my children attend. Teachers are personable, easy to communicate with and professional.

High Desert Middle School has great programs, takes effort to integrate new 6th graders, wonderful teachers and staff. My kid actually enjoys his homework every night and is excited about school!

This school is wonderful. I am very imperessed by the progress my son has made over the years he has gone (6th and 7th). The sports programs are great. the students are nice. And the principal is quite responsible and I trust him fully.

I think that the quality of the teachers needs to be improved, but overall i think that the school is a good and possitive reanforcement to the future leaders.

About the tests
