Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

#1 school, students, teachers, principal, and office ladies. I have lived here in the valley for more than 20 years and wont move out of the valley until my children graduate! I wouldn't send my children to another school! We love the schools in our valley!!!!!!

I have 3 children that went to this school Kindergarten-5th. The teachers and staff were great then and still are now. What a difference $20,000 would make to our small town school on a strict budget.

It's a great school. the teachers and staff are great, and care about what happens to the students. The students have many different talents. The school being from a small town really could use something like this to give them more opportunities.

I went to school there and want my child to have the same experience as I did, fun and enjoyable! Evergreen deserves a little extra money to help improve the school and make it a better place for the kids. The office staff is always happy help in anyway they can. I've only dealt with kindergarten so far,(sense the majority of the teachers that were there when I was have left) with our son, but Ms. Kelly and Ms. Garman(?) are awesome with the kids!

I went to school at Evergreen and now all four of my children have attended Evergreen. We had a great principal (Mr. Hail) when I went to school there and now we have an equally great principal, whom I went to school with! Who knew that Mr. Valenzuela would be such an AMAZING principal?!!! My youngest son adores him and I think he makes a GREAT role model for him and all the other kids. He sets the standard to follow not only for the kids, but for his staff and us parents. Our children are better children because of the love this school shows them.

Evergreen is a great school. The teachers are compassionate, the staff is helpful, and the small town charm permeates the school. I grew up in Cave Junction and went to Evergreen, so it was fabulous when we moved back to CJ and my kids got to attend Evergreen also. Evergreen truly is a GREAT school.

When I lived in CJ, as a member of the Lions Club, I met with many of the staff who were very enthusiastic to bring fine arts back to the children. Though it is an economically challenged area, the hearts of the community are determined to create a safe and nurturing environment in which the children can learn!

I come with over 20 years of elementary school experience outside of the education field. I have watch as the community has turned out in droves for the family oriented activity's. The teachers are dedicated to the students and community with a proven record like the 2nd grade teacher Ms. Bosse.

One of my kids went 1st through 5th grade at this school. She still loves the teachers and asks to visit them regularly. My other daughter is now in 2nd grade. She receives special ed help. I'm very pleased with the special ed teachers! and the progress she has made! :)

2 of my 3 children have attended Evergreen Elementary and I can only say that they are short of amazing. Budget cuts have forced more kids per teacher situations, yet they have managed to adapt effectively and the kids do not suffer for the more crowded classrooms. My youngest daughter had the potential of being a 'problem' student, and they were able to spend the extra time with her to help steer her towards a more positive direction. She now consistently ranks with or above the level of the other students in her class. One of the better public school systems I have been involved with. Extracurricular activities and parent involvement could always be improved, but this is a budget-crunched area and I feel they stretch their inches into miles at this school. Enroll your child with confidence!
