For a small rural school, we have a few excellent programs like our speech team, leadership program, music, art, drama, ag mechanics, drafting, engineering and outdoor school counseling program. However, if you value high academic standards and achievement, we only have a few teachers that will prepare your children for college. Hopefully, students will be able to take more college classes through our local community college if they build a satellite campus across from the high school. Now, they offer two college writing classes and a business class on site which is great. The area we need to improve in is expecting more from our students, as sports is the priority in our district. Also, we need to improve the quality of instruction. Some teachers bring the entire educational program down with them and aren't preparing our children for college. Hopefully, with a new superintendent we will raise the bar.
