London Elementary is an amazing school. My child has been at this school beginning at Kindergarten through to his current year as a First grader. The office management is always warm, welcoming, and friendly. The teachers are competent, caring individuals who create a family atmosphere for the children and parents. The school's older kids have a buddy system in which they learn to look out for the younger ones, creating a responsible and compassionate network among the students. Excellent staff involvement to foster a bully-free environment. The community support to the school has led to a growth in arts and music. We will be moving out of state and will miss this beloved rural school!

This school is amazing. The staff is caring, focused and they have a lot of parent volunteers who do a wonderful job too. We are so pleased to have our kids attend London.

This is a great school. We moved and had to leave, but I wish we could go back. The teachers and everyone who work there are nice, and very willing to help and teach the children. It is a small school and parents are encouraged to help out. The older kids also help the younger children. With it being so small they know everyone, and have more controll over the students.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Oregon used the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science. The OAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oregon. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
