Teachers and staff are dedicated to every student's success and provide an excellent comprehensive curriculum and opportunities for students to explore a variety of interests and career possibilities. Extracurricular activities are available and accessible for any student to pursue. The school atmosphere is friendly, welcoming and respectful; students are busy and productive in classrooms, the shop, barn and greenhouse, online courses and program opportunities off-site. This is a school that cares about kids.

This school, as most small town schools are, is very, very, small. We have very few extracurricular activites. They include: Drawing and painting, FFA, and The School News Paper. The teachers are very dedicated and want there students to exceed. Being a small school (of around 150 students) every student is taken care of and no one is shoved under the carpet. Overall it is a fantastic school with great leadership.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Oregon used the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science. The OAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oregon. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
