The Village School nourishes and engages the whole child/spirit. My child always wants to stay a little longer when the school day comes to an end. The community of parents, faculty and children work in a symbiotic way, making the flow of village school a natural extension of family life. The small class size allows a special bond between student and teacher that is truly rare these days. In addition, although the Village School is "Waldorf inspired", it is not as regimented and allows for a little more flexibility and growth. I feel blessed to be apart of such an inspired community.
This school has a wonderful, colorful sense of community with a progressive curriculum that incorporates Waldorf Education and makes it available to all families. The staff are caring and passionate about teaching and encourage creative, independent thinking it its students.
What do I like about the Village School? Caring community, developmentally appropriate learning that integrates art and music throughout the school day, the fact that the children go outside and play every day, teachers who are accessible and involved, hardworking staff. Families are expected to volunteer throughout the year, which helps to keep everyone involved.
The Village School honors the unique and creative aspects of each child, and encourages them to think outside the box.
Excellent teachers, wonderful curriculum, small classrooms... The Village School provides an innovative and supportive learning environment
I love the quality of the teaching and all the attention given to each student! My son's kindergarten classroom is a warm, beautiful place and the teachers are calm and responsive.
Truly dedicated staff, a comprehensive curriculum educating the whole child and an amazing community of supportive families coming together to enrich the lives of our children, ourselves and our greater community
Great education for all sorts of kids here at the Village School. Well rounded in regards to arts and holistic learning, which is best for a child's brain chemistry and development of neurological pathways.
The faculty are the best! They truly care about the children and love what they do. You can see it every day.
The teachers are top notch! The creative ideas to guide kids in learning make it fun and creative and my son LOVES it there!
A school where parents are involved and care about the students, faculty, and staff. The faculty and staff give 110% to their every effort. The children form close relationships with each other and the community.
School focuses on the whole child: head , hands, and heart. Small class size, amazing staff, dedicated parents. Being a charter school, we get significantly less funding than regular public schools. With this challenge the staff agree to less pay and the parents agree to 40hrs volunteer time a year. The dedication to having the best interest for the children is strong and not fledging any time soon.
