I go to this school and I find it rather disappointing. Several of the teachers do not appear to know the material they teach, I have witnessed blatant favoritism, and several teachers use their post to promote their own political or religious views. There is very little variety in available courses and course levels compared to other schools I have been to. Most, if not all, staff places great importance on athletic programs. When the school budget was reduced, art, auto, choir, computer, and culinary courses were the first considered for being cut, while the school immediately put most of it's funds into it's sport programs once the budget increased. If you are an average-level student with a great interest in sports (or the parent of such a student), this may be the school for you. If, however, you like to be intellectually challenged, ask questions, and have interests outside the realm of sports, I highly recommend you consider a different school.

I am a student here and I love this school. I have enver been to a school with such school pride in academics and Athletics. A great school!

About the tests

The OAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oregon.
