My two children attended St. Anne for three years. Honestly, I have lost faith in Catholic schools. You are constantly fundraising and putting out money just to keep things running. If your child has special needs, it may be a good school for them. Otherwise, if you have a very intelligent child, you are throwing your money away. The children are bored at recess, have very little time to eat and no sports which can lead to teasing and bullies. THe school needs new leadership. Enrollment is dropping which is probably due to the economy.
St. Anne Catholic School provided my daughter with the solid foundation to excel as she has in her high school career. Thanks to the excellent education at St. Annes my daughter was prepared for the challenges of high school and has carried a 4.0 her first two years. Excellence in Education is something you can expect at St. Annes.. You can also expect to have caring teachers, staff, and parents that go above and beyond to ensure not only a solid education, but a strong religious education. That core religious education has provided my daughter with a strength of conviction and belief that has helped her through many difficult decisions our teenagers face every day. I will always be thankful to the teachers and staff at St Annes for all their hard work, dedication, and care they shared with my daughter.
St. Anne School has provided a nuturing environment for my children. The teachers are highly qualified and have addressed their individual needs. My children have excelled in the small environment have shown great improvement on the standardized tests since coming to St. Anne 2 years ago. We are supported by many members of the church and community businesses.
Just read one rating stating that pupil enrollment dropped a lot because of the former principal, Mr. Stone. No. no that is not so as the enrollment dropped considerably before he took over as principal. He indeed was there to greet the children daily before school. He often was seen at recess and noon playing with them on the yard. Through his efforts, St. Anne School now has playground equipment on the yard. Good luck to Jackie Henry, the new principal. Here's hoping the staff will show better support to her.
Saint Anne's is a small school that cares about the quality of its academic and faith formation programs. While Mr. Stone has recently departed to become principal of a larger Catholic school he did an awesome job in caring for our students' well-being...and he will be missed. We appreciate all that Saint Anne's does for our children and we look forward to having them attend through 8th grade.
I can't say enough in prasie of St. Anne School. The staff is incredible! They are the most dedicated group of educators I have ever met. The small class sizes provide a great level of interacting between students and teachers. I noticed that someone left a negative comment on our current principal. I strongly disagree with them. We have been here long enough to have experienced the previous principal and our current one. They both have their distinct ways of leading. However different their styles may be,I would not say one is better then the other. Our current principal can daily be seen greeting the students in the morning, playing with them on the playground, treating the honor roll students to lunch and helping in the classrooms. He even had the school spirit to shave his head when the school reached a fundrasing goal! I Love St. Annes School!
My child has been going to st.Annes since kinder. Then the school changed principal to,(( mr.Stone ))) and we the school lost a lot of students. He is the worst principal I have ever experienced and if it wasn't for my child graduating next year, I would have pulled my child out as well. st. Annes would be great if and when Mr.Stone is replaced.
[Our daughter] has gone to St. Anne School since Pre-Kindergarden and we can't say enough in praise for the facilty and students. They are truely a part of our family with generations since 1968 when we moved to Grants Pass. I wouldn't have my daughter anywhere else. [Our daughter]reads with her friends from a Public School and although she is in 1st grade and her friend is in 3rd, she is far more advanced in her reading, athletic and social skills. My daughter, age 27 has attended her Catholic Education there as well as my nephew who attended St. Anne from his first day of school until he graduated from 8th grade. I do and will always recommend their superior education to any other and love Ms. Byetheway, 1st grade teacher. Sincerely and God Bless Cynthia & Jerry Theis
