Profile Completeness

ADVANCED

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I currently attend Springwater Trail High Scool, and honestly, I love it here. The school just feel's so welcoming and the teachers actually help the students. I went and visited Barlow recently, for a journalism project, and found that I easily got lost and confused in the halls and in classes. Sometimes bigger schools aren't the best option, but thats just my opinion.

This school was doing rough until recently. The scores on standardized tests have been raised which shows effort on both sides of the story. The school has recently implemented a new basis of grading in which students must complete ALL assignments or they will not receive a credit, in spite of what their grade is. That is where the school has lost tough with the students. There is simply no "leg room" in the school, and it is believed students standardized test scores will plummet.

I'd give it a 7. The school has solid academic program. A good alternative for those that don't want a larger academic experience.

I have never been to a school like this, where the staff are so student-focused. I've seen students absolutely flourish and shine here, where they were doomed to be defeated by the system at their former schools. The work that students and staff do here is most definitely worth the recognition!

Springwater made me believe in friends again. I never had friends before STHS, but when I got there, everyone was so nice, and they welcomed me into the school. STHS really deserves this award, the people are fantastic, and the teachers really help you.

Springwater helps bring out the best in each of us: students and staff

The teachers at this school are great mentors for the students. They know each student by name and show each student the attention they need and deserve! STHS goes above and beyond the 'call of duty' in order to help each students succeed. It is like a private education in a public school system!

I've been here from day one, and I know this is a very important place for all who attend here, because students get the help and care needed to succeed. There are numerous examples of kids who would have been just another number. However when they come here they tend to fit in and blossom with confidence and determination. Without this school some would just be lost and become another statistic in our society.

I love springwater trail high school because of the smaller classes, the smaller school (so I cant get lost), and because it is easer to get to know the kids that are here!

If I didn't get excepted to the school i was not going to be going to high school. And it is much easier here to ask a teacher if you need help on homework or just to ask a question. And I also like it because it is a small school.

I love Springwater Trail because they love my son, and he loves it there. He is now getting A's and B's where before he was getting Cs and Ds. When I went to Parent Conference they actually knew all about my son and his interests. The principle gave him a job after school and he took alot of pride in that.

Springwater Trail is a place where both academic and social learning takes place. The small school concept helps those who need more one-on-one time from their teachers. Every student is a person at Springwater Trail. Teachers know who they are, what their needs are, and how they can be helped.

Springwater is such an amazing little place. It's a public, small choice high school that has fostered an amazing community. If I had to say one thing about Springwater (students, parents, teachers, and staff) I would say the thing that unites us all is caring. People associated with STHS really care about the well-being of our students.

i have seen many students on the verge of flunking out make a full 180 when they enroll at spring water. one student i know was on the edge of being expelled because of grades, they chose to attend STHS and now they are being offered scholarships to attend universities. it is a wonderful option to students who dont learn at the same level, or who want a different experience.

The teachers are great and really care about the students. It is really hard to fail classes at this school because the teachers all want to help and are always on your case. Most of the students are welcoming and want to get to know the new students. Students are also accepting and caring.

Springwater trail is an exellent school. I find the staff helpful and responsive to my child's needs. I have my phone calls returned promptly. The staff is knowledgeable and creative in their teaching styles. I appreciate that the student is encouraged to discover their strengths and weaknesses. I feel my child is safe at this school. The small class size allows a closeness to develop with the students. The student body is diverse, yet there does not seem to be any problems with bullies. Overall, I find I am very pleased with my childs progress and I feel she is being prepared for college. I look forward to a time when more parent involvement will be available. Patty Green

I attend this school, and I really like it. Its a great place to help students learn, and the teachers are awesome. Im glad I was accepted here, and I do plan on staying here for my next couple years of high school. I, like the rest of the school, was very sorry to see Mr. Thomas leave, but we can always try on Mr. Bentz for size.

I love having my daughter in this school. I hate to see Franke Thomas transfer as principal next year back to Gordon Russell. He has been such a positive influence on the students. This school has been a god sent for my daughter.
