Powell Valley Elementary School

I, too, have a son who completed his kindergarten year at Powell Valley in Miss Love's class. I thought her and her teaching assistant, Mrs. Millican, were awesome. Supportive and encouraging and everything you would hope for in a teacher. I also found the principal and the other staff I met to be warm and very engaged in the student's success. And I was also very impressed with the events that they held. There was a fantastic holiday bazaar and carnival as well as others. Admittedly I was concerned because the school's test scores aren't the best but I found that they are working hard, and there has been improvement. And that's with having lost 8 days last year due to budget cuts.

My son has attended his Kindergarten year here and I have found that the teachers/staff genuinely care about the kids. I volunteer and you can see the calm and caring interaction throughout the staff. His kindergarten teacher, Miss Love, is AMAZING..... He has absolutely flourished here.

Two of my sons have attended this school and we have anly had great experiances with all the teachers, my kids have flourished here even when moving from another school. Great music programs and family nights. Thank you PV Panthers!

Wow I love this school and recomend it for other or futer parents! Completely fun and i help out allot and I enjoy the kids . they are all fun and very polite.

Teachers are wonderful at promoting lifeskills and truly assess the students abilities and strengths. They care about each of their students and helping them to be successful.
