Added to the Parent comment, As a graduate I don't believe that the poverty issue comes into play here. there is no reason that an impoverished parent wouldn't be as involved as a upper-middle class parent. The school was excellent and the instruction exemplarary, in college I am in the top 15% of my class and very competitive.

There some fine instructors.Quaility of academic programs is generally high, the level of competence varies somewhat from teacher to teacher. Do to small school size there's no way to avoid the less competent ones. Small school size also means small class size, that's good. Student access to extracurricular activities, especially sports is very good. this is a poverty community,I think that might go with a less than stellar parent involvement. Turnout for parenat teacher confereences is good, ditto music and sporting events.

This school is a great school for anyone who wants their child to get a scholarship. Any student who applies for scholarships will definately get it. The school is small (150 students) so the 1 on 1 time with teachers is great! I would reccomend this school to anyone.
