Our family loves this school. My oldest is finishing 3rd grade and all of her teachers have been top notch. They are very supportive of their students and provide challenges that motivate children to excel. The principal and staff are very inclusive and friendly. The Parent Club is very active, providing monthly activities for students and their families; they also encourage and invite new volunteers for all school activities. Daughter #2 can't wait to start kindergarten there next fall.
My childrens school could use this money for computers, extra supplies, text books, get more of the AR tests, Science projects, Family Math social time materials, Extra books to be able to hand out to families for attending family reading night. There is just so much that this school could benefit from if they were to win.
The staff at Desert View Elementary School is unbeatable. They work more closely as a team than any group I have ever seen before. They truly love what they do and they really share a love of education with their students. They get the required testing done (and done well!) and they go above and beyond to make sure the students enjoy being at school and are learning all they can. The students feed off this enthusiasm and help each other out. These students will go far in life with their team working skills. The parent group is more supportive than any I have seen. The building is phenomenal. The whole school is fantastic!
