The principal and administration are not up to standard. On 3 occasions when they had to provide information they were either late or provided incomplete information that was very crucial. Major overhall ugently required. Teacher comment :- One math. teacher is seriously subpar. There only for pay not for teaching.

I am very disappointed with the way teachers and administrators interact with a majority of the students. They might want to look in the mirror before passing judgement.

You will not find a more diverse school that is as friendly as Century High School. Everyone is accepted for who they are.

As a parent of a 9th grader, I was very impressed with Century. We had no trouble with gangs or school violence. The teachers are interested in helping their students achieve success. We have moved from the area and it is difficult to find a new school that is as great as Century.

This school was able to turn my child around and now he has made such good friends and is rasing his GPA so fast.

Students are always encouraged to get involved, whether it be sports or clubs or activities, it seems there is a place for everyone. This school does not generally have a problem with cliques, it seems practically everyone gets along just fine. Teachers are helpful and encouraging, and discipline is tough but fair.

Century is a good school...upon moving to this district we were impressed in the difference between this school and our last school. This school didn't allow the kids to hang out in the hallways during class and the teachers and coaches genuinely cared about the kids and overall we were very pleased and impressed.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Oregon used the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science. The OAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oregon. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
