This used to be one of the better schools in town. Now, it is just as bad as the rest. Lebanon as a whole has some of the worst schools that I have ever seen. The teachers are mediocre and the kids enter high school completely unprepared. You will spend alot of money on tutoring because they don't get the help at school.
It is disappointing to see how the reviews have changed since 2009 of a quality school that had rigor in academics and discipline. Instead of complaining about it, put your heads and hearts together and figure out what was working then that is not working now. Class sizes were just as big then. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.
Disappointed with the large class sizes & lack of discipline. When students are disrespectful, nothing seems to happen - except mostly failed attempts by staff & teachers to try to encourage them to behave. Disruption/chaos are common in the classroom- but I'm told that's public school. Is that so?
I was a little disapointed with Hamilton Creek last year. It didn't seem like my child was getting the needed attention, but this year all that has changed. I now have two children at HC and both of their teachers are great.
I think Halmiton Creek is the best school in linn & benton County. My daughter has gone there for four years and I've never been disapointed with their system.
This was a really excellent school. I attended from from my fourth grade year until eighth grade. There is a very strong sense of community, younger students interact with older students, which in-turn gives older students a chance to be mentors. Also, being a small school really lets you get to know your peers and teachers on a personal level. While there are no sports programs available directly from the school, they're are local leagues we had the opportunity to join. Band, however is offered through the school. Overall my education I received has made the transition into high school a very smooth one. I'm glad that I attended.
THis is a pretty good school, I know because I go there.
