Duniway Middle School is a school full of discrimination and prejudice. If your child is unique then avoid this school at all costs. It will be a terrible experience for the parents as well as the child. They have great gym equipment, but that in no way makes up for poor teaching and having an uncaring principal. They will treat your child like their feelings and concerns do not matter. The principal will speak down to you, and humiliate your child. I would avoid this school at all costs. If your child has a Hispanic last name then you can expect to have a fight on your hands even if English is their native language. You will have to work hard to get them in any advanced courses. If you have a strong minded child, and are willing to fight then please be the first to bring this school into this century!
I am currently student teaching at Duniway Middle School with Christy Werst as my mentor. I am seeking information about Duniway to include in my academic field experience notebook for Western Oregon University. Debbie Williams
I went to school here about 4 years ago. looking back this school was more of a family then school. i learned so much and i was so loved here. it was the hardest time of my life and the teachers and staff helped me find my way
I'm a 8th grade student at duniway middle school and i have been here for 3 years now and i think that duniway is an amazing school to atend to . :)
It's isn't that fun of a school; but it is a very well learning enviroment. I am a seventh Grader attending.
It is a awesome and great school! The scool is and the teachers are nice, and some are really funny. Also if you have no one to pick you up after school or you just want to do something fun there are really cool clubs.
I have had excellent experiences at Duniway Middle school with my youngest son. Tony Mann does a fair and consistent job with the kids as does Cathy Carnahan. My older two went there also and there were many administrative problems. They have largely in my opinion been resolved. They offer classes for both special needs kids and advanced and gifted students. I don't find the kids to be rude or bullying to each other on the whole. Most of the teachers have been very good. A few lemons, but none that would spoil the experience. I find the environment to be conducive to learning on the whole. I wouldn't hesitate to send my son or daughter here if I were moving to McMinnville.
