This is the best environment, such a nuturing, caring community. My family loves the teachers and staff. Father Maxy is such a great role model for all the students.

St. John's has been transformed - into a excellent academia school. The new Principal Dr. Vogel is doing wonders and her staff is of the best quality around. We also have 2 nuns that teach which no other PDX school has. My children are excelling and their test scores show it! You couldnt find a better school in the area.

This is a great community school. I have 2 kids in earlier grades. New principal is awesome and teachers are just great. Students have strong faith and parents involvement is amazing. I found myself involved more and more in the school each year because of what I see and felt from other great parents who truly involved and care for the school and their children. I see my kids are excited about going to the school everyday. To me, that's how I know St. John is a great school.

We switched our son to St. John's from another private school six years ago. Best decision we ever made. Great academics. Unbelievable music, drama and religious studies programs! Their band sounds every bit as good as high school bands we've heard. Beautiful facility and always improving itself. Fine staff with extremely caring principal and vice-principal. Outstanding library and truly professional librarian. The uniforms are a wonderful leveling influence on children of all ages and socio-economic backrounds. Weekly Mass is wonderful and attentiuon to values and character development are high priorities. Most 8th graders go on to college prep high schools and do very well. Talk to the principal and you will be sold! Terrific school.

I made the decision to switch to private schools when my son was a fourth grader. The search was long and very challenging! I decided upon St Johns' after looking at multiple schools (Christian, Catholic, Adventist, etc). St Johns' has been everything I hoped for and more. Challenging academically, with teachers that really care about the children. A wonderful band program, that is far superior to any other Junior High band in the Portland Metro area. My son LOVES his new school, the transition was difficult, but even he sees the difference. The kids at the school are great, diversity on all levels is refreshing. The Principal, Katie Vincent is top notch and a great person too. If you are looking at a new school, really consider St Johns! You will Love it.
