I am a student at Alder Creek middle school Ive been going there since i was a 7th grader and now i am going to be in 8th grade. I loved it, middle school was my best year. The first day was overwhelming but your just going into middle school of course it will be. But i got use to it very fast loved it made lots of new friends its just a great school and the teachers, I never thought i would love middle school so much. I even got better grades then in elementary school, I've improved a lot in grades too my self confidence. You will just enjoy about everything at this school.

With the district closing...three Jr Highs to merge into this super sized Middle School. Alder Creek seems to be continually adjusting, progressing along with each year. With students being sent from small home atmosphere of Elementary school to such a huge mass enviornment is challenging to any pre-teen. So satisfaction with both of these factors growing into Alder Creek, I dont think great review scores are possible.

I am a student and I go to Alder Creek. It is improving. There are typical Middle School social problems, but I think it is a good school.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Oregon used the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science. The OAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oregon. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
